Water Policy

As Enerjisa Enerji, we aim to create a positive impact for the planet by reducing our environmental footprint in line with our sustainability vision.

In our operations, water is used for cleaning, sanitary and irrigation purposes. Although our water related impacts from our own activities are not high, we act with awareness and acknowledge the importance of water for our value chain and for all our stakeholders.

In accordance with Enerjisa Enerji Human Rights Policy, and the United Nations Global Compact Principles that we are among the signatories, we uphold the following principles considering the right to access to clean water and sanitary conditions of all living beings on the planet:

• We work in full compliance with the water spesific national/international legislations that we are liable for.
• We define, review and report our water and climate-related risks and opportunities within the scope of ISO 14001 and integrate these to our enterprise risk management processes.
• We review our business processes continuously for the protection and sustainability of water resources, adopt best practices and follow innovations.
• We monitor, report and work to reduce our water consumption in our operations to save water sources and avoid water pollution.
• We set targets and carry out projects to increase our water performance and resource efficiency by focusing on the recovery and reuse of water, reduction water consumption and improving the monitoring systems.
• We take measures to provide safe drinking water and implement hygiene standards in order to support the health and well-being of our employees in our working areas and stakeholders.
• We encourage all our stakeholders, especially our employees, suppliers and business partners, to perform their activities in an environmentally responsible manner.
• In order to reduce water footprint resulting from all tools and equipment we use throughout our life cycle, we evaluate possibilities of transition to circular economy in our operations and carry out projects.

Preparation and implementation of this policy, which addresses all activities of our company, are coordinated by the business unit Environmental and Administrative Affairs Departments. Review and approval of the policy are conducted by the Sustainability Department and Enerjisa Enerji Sustainability Executive Committee.
