What does the graded tariff mean?

As of 01.01.2022 and 01.03.2022, the electricity consumption of all our subscribers, whose tariff type is Residential Single-Time Low Voltage and Commercial Single-Time Low Voltage, respectively, is billed considering the Graded Tariff, calculated based on the consumption amounts, as per the national tariffs and regulations published by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

There are two tiers in the new tariff billing that came into force. The basic criterion is the electricity consumption amount during the billing period.

Consumptions up to a certain limit determined by EMRA will be invoiced based on Tier 1 - Low Consumption Tier, and consumptions above this limit will be invoiced considering Tier 2 - High Consumption Tier. Unit prices of the tiers are determined by EMRA.

The part to be invoiced based on the low consumption tier shall be calculated by multiplying the number of invoiced days with the daily average consumption limit. The average daily consumption limit determined by EMRA is 8 kWh for residential group subscribers and 30 kWh for commercial group subscribers. In case this consumption limit is exceeded, the amount to be invoiced from the low consumption tier is subtracted from the total consumption in the relevant billing period, and the remainder is calculated and invoiced based on the high consumption tier.
