Great Support from Enerjisa Enerji for 'A Better Future' in the Earthquake Zone

Launched by UNDP Türkiye, Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, Adana Chamber of Commerce and Needs Map, RRDC - Regional Reconstruction and Development Center project was announced in Adana.

Enerjisa Enerji is the sole private sector stakeholder of the center, which was established to contribute to the reconstruction and development of 11 provinces in the earthquake zone in terms of economic, social, cultural, and non-governmental aspects.
Enerjisa Enerji now supports the earthquake zone with the 'A Better Future' platform, which was launched in July to contribute to the economic efficiency in Türkiye. Sustaining its activities as part of the results of the Türkiye Efficiency Survey, which is the first concrete output of the platform, Enerjisa Enerji gathered UNDP Türkiye, Needs Map, Adana Chamber of Commerce and Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce for the first concrete solution project developed for the efficiency issue in Türkiye.

Thanks to the Regional Reconstruction and Development Center (RRDC) project, reconstruction and development of the economic, social, cultural, and non-governmental aspects will be supported in the earthquake zone. To be established in Adana and Gaziantep to contribute to all 11 provinces affected by the earthquake, these centers will support businesses and organizations in the region with grants, workspace, training, collaborations, and access to optimal financing.

Supporting the ‘A Better Future’ platform established under the guidance of Enerjisa Enerji, UNDP Türkiye, Needs Map, Adana and Gaziantep Chambers of Commerce contribute to the project in identifying small businesses and their requirements and supporting them.

The launch meeting of the project was held in Adana. Representatives of Enerjisa Enerji, UNDP Türkiye, Adana Chamber of Commerce, Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce, Idema and INOGAR informed about the details of the project as well as discussing 'Post-Earthquake Regional Reconstruction' and 'Economic Development and Strengthening of Businesses’ in detail.

“We are part of the solution that will revive the regional economy by supporting businesses thanks to the Regional Reconstruction and Development Center - RRDC Project.”

Undertaking the economic development leg of the project on the launch meeting when the RRDC project was signed by all related parties, Murat Pınar, CEO at Enerjisa Enerji, stated, “At Enerjisa, in every field we operate, we prioritize the motto of: 'If we are part of the problem, we have to be part of the solution as well.'

At Enerjisa Enerji, we endeavor for the future of this country and develop solutions for the economic efficiency in Türkiye through the platform we established with the vision of a better future for all. On the other hand, as a company operating in the earthquake zone, we assume responsibility for preparing this region for a better future. We were in the earthquake from the very first moment of the earthquake and kept the electricity grid running, and now, we are here for the reconstruction after the earthquake, and will continue to be there.

We are proud to be the sole private sector supporter of the RRDC project, which has been developed with utmost care by our stakeholders. Thanks to these centers, businesses will be supported, hence, they will continue to contribute to the economy. This will also be a significant contribution to employment. We are proud of establishing a platform that addresses the social and cultural aspects besides the financial investment opportunity we have, thus setting an example. I would like to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to all our stakeholders who put efforts in the project.”

Speaking at the meeting, Mert Fırat, co-founder of Needs Map, stated, "We, at Needs Map, have set out on a long path to carry out activities and projects for the reconstruction and sustainable development needs of the provinces. It is of great significance for each and every one of us to get healed for society to get healed. We have launched the Regional Reconstruction and Development Centers in coordination with Adana and Gaziantep Chambers of Commerce and the support of United National Development Programme (UNDP), as well as the support of private sector representatives. At Needs Map, we come from the understanding of collective work. In addition to providing a safe and secure place for people wherever we can, we also assume responsibility for restoring jobs and livelihoods.”
