Enerjisa Enerji positions among the Climate Leaders in Turkey.

According to the 2021 results of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the world's largest environmental reporting platform, Enerjisa Enerji raised its success score to level B in the Climate Change and Water Security programmes. The programme, in which companies have been announcing Carbon Disclosure since 2002, enables companies publicly commit to tackling climate change and transitioning to a low-carbon economy through renewable energy use, science-based targets, carbon pricing, etc.
Enerjisa Enerji, Turkey's leading electricity distribution and retail company, 20 percent of which is publicly traded with Sabancı Holding and E.ON SE as its main shareholders, raised its Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Climate Change and Water Security scores to level B. CDP, the only independent organisation that globally reports on how companies manage their carbon dioxide emission processes, what they do to reduce emissions and the carbon-related market risks they bear, carries out significant activities for a sustainable future.

Involved in the Climate Change and Water Security programmes of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), Enerjisa Enerji increased its overall success score to 'B Management Level' in the CDP in 2021 and ranked at the top levels among 78 companies reporting from Turkey. Enerjisa Enerji began monitoring, measuring and analysing the data related to the Climate Change in 2018 and has been graded by the CDP Climate Change and Water Security programmes since 2020 and 2021, respectively.

Signing the UN Global Compact in October 2019, getting a Corporate Governance Rating for the first time in January 2020; hence listed in the BIST Corporate Governance Index, Enerjisa Enerji carries out its activities in the guidance of energy efficiency, energy conservation, reduction of carbon emissions and sustainability through the innovative products offered under the umbrella of Energy of My Business. With this approach, the company takes responsibility for a greener and smarter future and continues to build its road map on its sustainability strategy.

Murat Pınar, CEO of Enerjisa Enerji: “We are proud to raise our success score to level 'B' according to the results of the CDP 2021 Climate Change Programme, the world's largest environmental reporting platform, announced. The fact that our efforts, at Enerjisa Enerji, for a greener and smarter future have been evaluated at an international level and scored at a higher level compared to the previous year proves that we are on the right track. I am delighted that we are evaluated among the pioneers of our sector and Turkey by the Carbon Disclosure Project and that we are positioned in the List B. I believe that we will achieve further in the programme in the upcoming periods; and I would like to thank my colleagues who contributed to this success. “
