Enerjisa Enerji Acquires 100% of Eşarj

Placing sustainability to the core of its strategy and developing projects to contribute to a smarter and greener world with a particular focus on people and technology, Enerjisa Enerji has acquired 100% shares of Eşarj, the first charging station company in Turkey with the highest number of fast charging stations.

Eşarj, which is an affiliate of Enerjisa Enerji, the leading electricity distribution, retail and customer solutions company in Turkey that pioneers the energy transformation in Turkey, and is the first company with the highest number of fast charging stations nationwide and maintains its leading position in the industry, has been acquired by Enerjisa Enerji with 100% of its shares and will continue to be the company of firsts.

Maintaining its leading position in the industry in building fast charging stations since its establishment as the popularity of electric vehicles in Turkey ascends, Eşarj has built the first station with a capacity of 360 kW and continues to offer the best experience at its 600 charging stations, 400 of which are high-speed (DC), in 60 cities.

TL 250 million investment over the past 2 years

In 2018, Enerjisa Enerji took over the management of Eşarj, the first company with the highest number of fast charging stations nationwide, by purchasing the majority of its shares. Then, in 2021 Enerjisa Enerji raised its share in Eşarj from 80% to 94%.

Investing TL 250 million in Eşarj over the past 2 years as part of the investment plan and being a pioneer in the industry in that sense, Enerjisa Enerji sustains its operations with Eşarj to reach its goal of building 1000 stations nationwide with at least 1 high-speed (DC) station in 81 provinces by the end of 2023.

“We are pioneering the steps taken to ensure a better future for all.”

Mentioning that they were very proud to acquire 100% of Eşarj, Murat Pınar, CEO at Enerjisa Enerji and Chair at Eşarj, stated, We continue to offer our customers the best and fastest experience with our investments in the first company network in Turkey with the highest number of fast charging stations nationwide as well as in EV charging stations. We put all our efforts to be pioneering in the steps taken to ensure a better future for all as well as the ecosystem of Turkish EV Charging Stations, and to be listed among the playmaker companies in the ecosystem. We carry out all our operations based on innovation and digitalization. At this point, we empower our ecosystem with our investments, and we assert our claim for the EV ecosystem in Turkey with these investments. This acquisition is another indicator to prove our claim.”

Eşarj breaks new ground

Eşarj, which is the first charging operator in Turkey that puts efforts for electric vehicles to reach their full potential in reducing carbon emissions, broke another new ground by adding the first and fastest charging station in Turkey that has a capacity 360kW to its portfolio, alongside its titles of being the first charging operator to be certified with the renewable energy certificate (IREC, YEK-G), and the first DC charging station and the first charging operator contracted with the EV brands.
