Eşarj, the first and fastest charging station company in Turkey, continues to establish partnerships in order expand EV adoption in Turkey as well as encouraging investments for fast charging stations. Signing a collaboration agreement with Stellantis, one of the leading global automaker and mobility providers, for over 200 stations, Eşarj will serve at Eurorepar Car Service points of Stellantis, which provides maintenance and repair services to all brands, as well as the automotive dealers of Peugeot, Citroën, Opel, DS brands in 43 cities in Turkey.
All stations to be built under Eşarj & Stellantis Turkey partnership will offer fast charging (DC) service. Thanks to this collaboration, the first stations will be initially installed at the parking lots and then at other businesses of Stellantis. This collaboration will enable Eşarj and Stellantis, which offer customized solutions for their customers, to establish an accessible, public charging network.
Murat Pınar, Chairperson of Eşarj and CEO of Enerjisa Enerji, stated: “EVs and charging stations begin attracting more and more interest from investors and drivers. We need a more widespread and fast charging station network to expand EV adoption. Hence, we are putting efforts to establish pioneering and strategic collaborations with our Eşarj brand. Eşarj, with its first and fastest charging station for EVs in Turkey, is one of our most valuable investments as a reflection of our confidence in the future of our country. We believe we will create a multiplier effect in our industry via this collaboration with Stellantis, one of the leading global automakers.”
Olivier Cornuaille, Turkey Country Managing Director at Stellantis, underlined that the mission of Stellantis was to offer safe, pleasant and sustainable mobility, and remarked, “Electrification will have a transformative effect on the future of mobility, and we, at Stellantis, are leading the new mobility expansion in the electrification pillar of the sector and the radical transformation here. Our group sold 246,000 EVs worldwide in the first half of 2022. Our goal is to launch 4 new EV models by October 2022, and have more than 25 EV models in our product range by 2025. We introduce our EV models to the Turkish market and Turkish customers. Of course, while introducing these models to the market, we follow EV technology as well as the focus of consumer use and customer experience as a significant priority in terms of being a stakeholder in infrastructure strategies. Moreover, we proudly follow the EV initiative of Turkey, which was carried out with the support of the government, as an exciting development, and it is also of great significance as far as we are concerned that each infrastructure investment we achieve will be a stakeholder and supporter of this national achievement. We are developing a project with Eşarj to facilitate the access of EV drivers to fast charging stations. Since 2020, we have been offering "charge at home" systems together with Eşarj and increased our customer satisfaction significantly. Thus, our new challenge will be “charge on the road”. The project will enable us to contribute to building publicly available DC charging stations that can be used by all EV drivers.”
