Enerjisa Enerji becomes the first company in its sector to be listed in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index

Placing sustainability to the core of its business strategy and developing projects to contribute to a smarter and greener world with a particular focus on human and technology, Enerjisa Enerji, the leading electricity distribution, retail and customer solutions company in Turkey, has achieved to be listed in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (GEI) with the in-house practices carried out in line with the principles of diversity, equality and inclusion.

Pioneering the energy transformation in Turkey with the vision of "a better future for all”, Enerjisa Enerji, the leading electricity distribution, retail and customer solutions company in Turkey, has been listed in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (GEI) the very first time that the company applied thanks to the in-house policies pursued regarding gender mainstreaming.

Bloomberg Gender Equality Index, an extensive, global index to measure the performance of companies committed to gender equality, takes into account the way the companies behave to their employees, whether their products and services serve the needs of the society, etc. The GEI measures gender equality across five pillars: ‘Leadership and Talent Pipeline’, ‘Equal Pay and Gender Pay Parity’, ‘Inclusive Culture’, ‘Anti-sexual Harassment Policies’ and ‘External Brand’. GEI framework evaluates a series of metrics from the perspective of gender equality through these categories. As a result of the evaluation, Enerjisa Enerji was qualified to get a total score of 79.41 out of 100. Considering all the pillars, Enerjisa Enerji got the highest score of 100 percent in ‘Anti-sexual Harassment Policies’ pillar, followed by ‘Inclusive Culture’ pillar by a score of 87 percent.

Over 620 companies in 11 sectors and 54 industries in 45 countries

2023 Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (GEI) comprises 484 companies from 11 sectors and 54 industries in 45 countries. By an increase of 11 percent, more than 620 companies disclosed their data regarding 2021 fiscal year using the Bloomberg GEI Reporting Framework, for 2023 GEI. This proves a recognition for the commitment to gender equality and the global business world to assume responsibility for a meaningful change by committing to more transparent reporting and disclosure of their social data; and also proves that the mentality is getting stronger every day.
