Placing sustainability to the core of its strategy and developing projects to contribute to a smarter and greener world with a particular focus on people and technology, Enerjisa Enerji has supported 51 projects being carried out as part of IVME and ITU Çekirdek by allocating a budget of TL 4.2 million.
Enerjisa Enerji, the leading electricity distribution, retail and customer solutions company that pioneers the energy transformation in Turkey, sustains its activities to encourage carrying out new projects and to support young entrepreneurs in new business areas. Supporting 51 start-up projects being carried out as part of the in-house IVME Start-up Acceleration Program and as part of the collaboration established with ITU Çekirdek, Enerjisa Enerji has provided financial support to 30 Projects of IVME and 21 projects of ITU Çekirdek with a total budget of TL 4.2 million.

Enerjisa Enerji has begun using the ‘KOZALAK’ Early Detection System for wildfires, a start-up supported by Enerjisa, in order to detect the forest fires in the Aegean Region early. Thanks to the system, the forest fires are detected earlier, a warning is sent, air quality is measured and toxic, flammable and explosive gases will be detected. Thus, the forest fires will be responded and even prevented as soon as possible, as they cause great destruction in forests. KOZALAK, one of the projects launched by Enerjisa Enerji following the wildfires that had a wide impact in Turkey, was also appreciated in the international arena, and was granted an award at the Communitas Awards in the Sustainability field of the Ethics and Environmental Responsibility branch of the "Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility" category.

IVME: The project that shapes the future of the energy industry
Thanks to the IVME program of Enerjisa Enerji, which supports start-ups that create solutions for the industry, the commercialization and scaling of the start-ups that have created their product prototypes are supported; thus, development of the start-up ecosystem is contributed. As part of the program, financial support is provided to start-ups during the product testing stage. Eligible projects can be included in the national investment ecosystem of Ayedaş, Başkent Edaş and Toroslar Edaş, i.e., Enerjisa Distribution Companies, and benefit from the international connections in the energy industry, such as Eurogia, Free Electrons, InnoEnergy, etc.

EŞARJ: A start-up story that evolved into the first and fastest charging station network in Turkey

On the other hand, Eşarj, a start-up embraced and supported by Enerjisa Enerji, serves as the first and fastest charging station network in Turkey today. Underlining that Eşarj start-up story embodied the great support of Enerjisa Enerji to innovative ideas, Murat Pınar, CEO at Enerjisa Enerji, stated:

“We initiated our start-up operations in collaboration with ITU ARI Teknokent Çekirdek in 2015 in order to support the projects to be developed in the energy industry, which was a first in Turkey. We are more than happy that we have been determined and supportive in contributing to the ideas that can add value to the industry as well as the society. Eşarj, which has evolved into a success story, sets an example for the good ideas that can be supported and evolved by Enerjisa Enerji for our country. Our main purpose is to contribute to a smarter and greener world with a focus on people and technology. We will put all our efforts to support each idea that places sustainability to the core of its strategy and that we believe will be beneficial.”
