The electric transformation in holiday traffic: A 63% rise in charging operations at Eşarj
The swift increase in the number of EVs in Türkiye highlights the increasing demand for charging infrastructure. While the demand tends to surge particularly during holiday seasons when people are inclined to travel more, it attained an extraordinary level during Eid. The stations of Eşarj, which is a 100% subsidiary of Enerjisa Enerji and the first EV charging station network operator in Türkiye, witnessed 63 and 67 percent increase in energy sales and the number of charging operations, respectively, during the holiday.
As traveling among cities surged during Eid, a remarkable rise in the number of charging operations of EVs was observed. As e-mobility continues to rise and the vehicle fleet expands, the stations have become remarkably busy, once again demonstrating that electric transportation is now an essential part of daily life.
Eşarj, a 100% subsidiary of Enerjisa Enerji, which serves at over 1,400 stations with more than 2,400 sockets by an installed capacity of 134 MW nationwide, ensured that service remained uninterrupted during the holiday season, notably with its swift charging network on major routes and highways.
Eşarj stations reported an increase of 63% in daily energy sales compared to the first week of March, and a year-on-year increase of 78% considering Eid. Thanks to the roaming project, Eşarj, which can offer services at its over 4,000 DC fast charging sockets, met the surged demand seamlessly.
Number of customers as well as interaction also attained a remarkable surge during Eid
During Eid, there was an impressive escalation in both energy consumption and the number of charging operations, as well as the number of active users. The daily number of active customers increased by 67% compared to the first week of March, as well as the same period of the previous year.
Offering uninterrupted service to its customers during Eid, Eşarj also suggests instant solutions to drivers via its call center, video call support, and the WhatsApp hotline, operating 24/7. The first "Recharge Point" in Türkiye, which offers a comfortable resting area for EV drivers during their journey, attracted a great deal of attention during the holiday season.
AYDILEK: "THE EV ECOSYSTEM NOW ADVANCES INTO A NEW PHASE IN TURKIYE"

“Travel periods such as Eid clearly reveal the actual scenarios for the use of electric mobility. The rise of over 60% we observed during this year's holiday season proves that EV use has become an essential part of daily life in Türkiye.
The EV ecosystem has now advanced into a new phase in Türkiye. The challenge here lies not only in expanding the number of charging stations but also in offering a seamless experience at the appropriate locations and speeds. We, at Eşarj, were prepared for this level of busy traffic thanks to our high-speed charging network situated along major transportation routes, our data-oriented location selection mentality, and our commitment to providing uninterrupted service around the clock.
In the upcoming period, we will concentrate on growing as well as fulfilling the rising demand by offering the most reliable and smooth experience at the appropriate locations. We believe that the key factor driving the proliferation of electric transportation is a charging experience that instills confidence in users under all circumstances.”
