Clean energy from resource to wheels: Eşarj creates an impact equivalent to the annual emissions of 25,000 vehicles

As the EV market emerges, the impact of charging infrastructure is also assessed via the resources of the electricity consumed, in addition to accessibility. Eşarj, the first EV charging station network operator in Türkiye and wholly-owned by Enerjisa Enerji, has prevented 123 million kg of carbon emissions by the end of 2025, thanks to charging processes that are supplied from renewable energy with YEK-G certification. While this environmental impact is equivalent to approximately 25,000 fossil fuel vehicles not being on the road for a year, Eşarj is distinguished as the first EV charging network operator in Türkiye to hold a green energy certificate.
Eşarj, the first EV charging station network operator in Türkiye and wholly-owned by Enerjisa Enerji, focuses on the energy resources in the establishment of charging infrastructure during the progression of electric mobility. Offering charging services sourced entirely from renewable energy, Eşarj considers this approach from a holistic framework that spans from the resource to the wheel.

Over the past year, the quantity of EVs in Türkiye has almost doubled, leading to a substantial rise in the demand for charging station networks. This marks the onset of a new era in which the share of fossil fuel vehicles within the overall vehicle fleet will progressively decline. Contributing to this transformation through its investments in fast charging stations as well as customer experience, Eşarj, as the pioneering charging operator in Türkiye to hold a green energy certificate, documents that the electricity supplied at its stations is sourced from renewable energy resources.

Sustainable mobility guided by customer experience

Eşarj enhances customer experience not by staying in the office, but by engaging with EV drivers and utilizing feedback gathered from the field. User requirements during the charging process, digital solutions including Eşarj Auto and the Trip Planning feature, as well as direct user input such as location suggestions are considered as indicators for investments in new stations. Thus, clean energy evolves into not only an environmental decision but also a swift, simple, and reliable experience for the user.

AYDILEK: “THE PROMINENT ASPECT TO DETERMINE THE SUCCESS OF E-MOBILITY IS RELIABILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY”

“Electric mobility is now a swiftly evolving transformation in Türkiye. By the end of 2024, the number of EVs was around 185,000. However, this figure exceeded 373,000 by December 2025. Also, the number of commercial charging sockets increased from 26,000 to over 38,000 in the same period. These figures distinctly indicate that the demand for investment in charging infrastructure will escalate further in the upcoming years.”

We, at Eşarj, embrace the responsibility associated with being the inaugural charging operator to launch this business in Türkiye. We believe that the environmental benefits of electric mobility are truly impactful only when charging is powered entirely by renewable energy; and we adopt a clean energy approach from resource to wheels.

In this emerging market that becomes more and more competitive, the difference lies not only in the infrastructure but also in the user experience. By focusing on customer feedback and tailoring our solutions accordingly, we promote growth while ensuring responsible consumption. In line with our goal of ensuring a Better Future for All, we aspire to make sustainable mobility a seamless part of everyday life.”
