An Environmentalist Practice Reducing Failure Risks From Başkent Edaş
Başkent EDAŞ has started a new application in order to increase the quality of service offered to its customers and to contribute to the environment. With this application, protection of human and animal life safety is targeted, while technical losses concerning the grids will be reduced. Within the scope of the project, the trees that are under the overhead energy transmission lines will be pruned to prevent risks in accordance with the principles set out in the "Regulations on High Power Current Electricity Power Plants" and "Turkish Standards Institute's 1214th Tree Cutting and Cutting Safety Rules".
Expert teams will prune trees in an area of 891 km in total, including 64 km in Zonguldak region during July.
The pruning and cutting of trees under the overhead power transmission lines will avoid the breaks, failures and energy interruptions in the lines Moreover, by this application, pruned trees will benefit in terms of aesthetics and persistence.
